Buy your regular size
I have purchased many different socks at LLBean. The reviews said these ran small, so I bought the next size up. Unfortunately, that was not true. They are HUGE and since you need to unpackaged, etc to try them on, I now own ginormous socks. Picture the heel of the sock puckering up at the back of your ankle. If you purchase these, buy your regular size.
Also, fabric is pretty thick on these, so they are better for colder weather. After wearing and washing, it looks like the fabric will not wear well either.

Rangeley Crew Socks
I liked the Rangely boot socks, so thought I would try the crew length. I really like them a lot. There is no tight band at the top and they are plenty tall enough to be considered crew length. That soft, substantial inside is what I really like. A good purchase for me.
