Extremely unflattering. Bring back the boot-cuts!
Bought 3 of this new wide-leg style in size 2X hoping they would be an adequate replacement for the discontinued boot-cuts. Not even close.
While the fabric and assembly are very good, the style is horribly unflattering unless you like looking wide, shapeless, and blocky. Please bring back the boot-cuts !!!

Comfortable pants that can be dressed up.
I’ve never bought any pants from LL Bean before and thought that I’d give them a chance. I needed something to wear that could be dressed up a bit if I needed to. I liked them so much I quickly ordered a pair in navy and in brown. I’ve washed them a few times and so far so good. They’re comfortable and look nice on.

Great basic black pants for everyday
Great basic black pants for travel and everyday wear.
They have pockets! And I have more than one pair!
I have other trousers for more dressy occasions but these are the best every-day pants for walking at the gym to shopping at the mall.

Not wearable for me
I'm a huge fan of the Perfect Fit Collection and the [old] "BootCut" style were my go-to for dress pants. This new wide leg style, with pockets, is just terrible. The old BootCut did not have pockets which helped make them very flattering and slimming, whereas everything about this "wide leg" pant makes me look 20 pounds heavier and frumpy. I should have looked more closely at the comments, because someone wrote a detailed and very accurate description of this wide-leg style. I am so disappointed. These will be returned.

quality fabric and very comfortable pants
So soft and comfortable - quality fabric holds its shape. I purchased this to use after knee replacement surgery so it would be comfortable. These pants were perfect for that but also are nice almost dressy comfortable pants for any day.
