Inspired by an original - ours. Our Field Coat was first introduced in 1924 as the Maine Duck Hunting Coat. It was an immediate favorite - loved for its rugged look and quality craftsmanship. Plus, it coordinated perfectly with our Maine Duck Hunting Boots (now known as "Bean Boots"). The legacy continues with this stylish lighter version. We love timeless fall classics, but a timeless and seasonless classic is even better.

Returned and replaced with barn coat
Returned this item. Did not like the fact that they are not lined. Purchased the barn coat instead in dusty rose color. Love the barn coat!

Great fit - it’s a classic!!
This is my fourth LLBean ‘barn’ coat! I was so happy to finally find an unlined jacket! My others are still in use after 35+ years, but really wanted a lightweight jacket with that classic fit and look!

Extremely disappointed
I was gifted this coat . I have always wanted one for fall. So disappointed no lining .No way this would keep you warm in the fall here in Maine. Very poor quality. L. L. Bean sure has gone down hill in quality. I returned to the gifter.
