Our iconic Maine-made Boat and Tote, now in an open-top size for tote lovers! Similar to our Small tote, but taller, with handles that fit comfortably over your shoulder. Handcrafted in Brunswick, Maine, one tote at a time.
Since 1944, we've been making our iconic Boat and Tote in Maine. The same way. Our only way. First introduced as "Bean's Ice Carrier," it's proudly stitched by a dedicated team from high-quality American cotton canvas, with a reinforced canvas bottom and rugged overlapped seams. When it's finished, you'll be able to tell it's an L.L.Bean original by the signature "V-point" detail on both sides. We make your tote one at a time here in Brunswick, Maine. Then it's your turn to make it your own.

- Overlapped seams are double-stitched with nylon so they won't rot or break.
- Heavy-duty 24 oz. cotton canvas is made in the USA.
- Double-layer base.
- Reinforced flat canvas bottom.
