MUST buy! Great for everyday!
I bought these shoes the week before we left for our trip to Acadia National Park. I’m not a hiker, my husband is so I didn’t want to spend money on hiking boots so I wanted something that was versatile. These shoes are waterproof, made for hiking but also everyday use. Besides hiking through Acadia, I wore these to stroll through Bar Harbor and then on our trip to Salem. I walked through puddles with them, socks stayed dry! I probably clocked about 100,000 steps that week and let me tell you, my feet never hurt once! I love that they’re not made solely for hiking as I really don’t go, so I feel it’s money well spent as I can use them for my daily sneaker. Great buy! Worth the money!

Light weight and comfortable.
After nine years of regular use, I’ve finally worn down my Ascender Gore-Tex 2 Low Hikers. I decided to replace them with a lighter weight trail shoe and I wanted something waterproof for both hiking and travel. The Elevation Trail Shoes seem to fit the bill—I have yet to take them on an extended walk in wet weather (hence just four stars) but so far they’re comfortable and attractive and I have high hopes they’ll be as functional and durable as my old Ascenders.

Great mixed-use shoe
I love this shoe. But I would definitely love it more if it weren't so bizarrely long. Pulling it out the of the box it looks like it will be too big - it's really long! It fit well in so many ways. Good room in the toe box, no laces/eyelets at the base of the Great toe, and just the right amount of cushioning I'd expect for a street to trail shoe. I'm still working to keep my foot forward enough to maintain control on the trails - there's been a lot of tripping and toe stubs. I'd also go for a tad more nub on the sole, it's pretty much like a street shoe. The waterproof aspect is good. I've had some shoes that are too hot or make my feet icy clammy cold. Not these. Just slightly warm in high summer. They're a fair price for a solid shoe.
