Good looking and practical bag!
Great bag! Waterproof and durable. Perfect size to hold my work books, lunch, jacket and essentials. Outer washes off well with just a damp rag! Convenient side opening to access jacket or snack. Overall a very sound purchase.

Needed new laptop bag
I was so excited to see this-I needed a new laptop bag WITH a water bottle pocket. I love all my L.L. Bean bags but honestly not *completely* in love with this one. Yes it has a padded laptop pocket, yes there's a water bottle holder(albeit short and your bottle can tip out very easily-bummer!), yes it is large and roomy and yes I feel it meets L.L. Bean norm for bags that will last. BUT...the flimsy water bottle pocket is iffy, there's only one pocket for smaller things(in the front) and the zipper on top is an odd length. None of these are the bags fault per se, but someone who is used to her Boat and Tote and Nor'Easter...not quite the same. It is a lighter weight if you're looking for that. I do not regret my purchase, will use it(probably not as much as intended)and would always 100% recommend L.L. Bean bags-that's all I buy for anything-but I don't think I would buy it again. Hey Bean-could we get a version of your Boat and Tote or NorEaster that has a water bottle pocket, maybe some more pockets inside and/or a laptop pocket? You have quite a following for these bags and I'm sure I'm not the only teacher who would love to use her bags but needs just a little more?
