Comfortable and stylish
This has become my favorite jacket. It is soft and warm and so comfortable to wear. If there was a longer version I would buy it also.

Warm wool Fleece
This is warm and very comfortable. I don't find it to be itchy but I am wearing long sleeves underneath. It is a slightly boxy shape and I would say it runs a bit large. I purchased to wear in my home over a turtleneck or long sleeved Tee when it is really cold (single digits and below) I weigh 106, 5ft 5" and purchased an XS, my normal size. There is plenty of room under this for a sweater or light sweatshirt, if desired.

Did Shrink a Little?
Washed before wearing after trying on. As per label instructions, used Tap Cold and Delicate settings on my washer, dried flat away from heat. Was a bit disappointed that the body and sleeves were were about 3/4 inches shorter than my try on length. Next time I wash, I will make a point of "blocking" the jacket to maintain lengths. I'm still keeping it as I do like the sweater jack. I'm 5'7" with long arms and legs and do need length in the sleeves so was a bit disappointed with the small shrinkage issue. Be forewarned...

Worth the Money
This was a rather expensive splurge for me, but I love it! It looks great, the color (green) is gorgeous and goes with everything. It’s comfortable and very warm. It’s both dressy and casual. No regrets.

Second choice might just be better
I looked for more high-pile fleece this fall because it has kept me warm when my sweaters cannot, and because it stays soft after being washed many times. Since there was none to be found at L.L. Bean this year I tried the "wool fleece" jacket. It has been warmer than any wool sweater of comparable weight, maybe as warm as my fleece. Bought a second one, in another color. A small is plenty big enough for my 5'2" person. I left a few for you.

Wool fleece is a great idea, but...
I have never rated an LLB item this low, but... it is large for my usual LLB size, it is already starting to pill, the collar is made so that it won't stay folded down and off my neck (when I don't want it up to my hairline - which is not all the time - it depends on the collar of my base layer). BUT I do like the idea of a wool fleece. I bought a men's wool fleece for my husband (he hasn't worn it yet). Sometimes I need to add a middle layer of the LLB 95% cotton/5% cashmere sweater to help fill in the extra size AND to add just a tiny bit more warmth. The 3 layers work well. I very much like the large zippered pockets and that they also have a slip-in pocket on the inside.

great fleece
lovely color and keeps you warm! The sleeves are too long though. I ordered this same fleece in green and the sleeves fit perfect, so something is off with the sleeve length in the purple color.
