Beautiful coat
This is a great coat - very comfortable and very warm - it hugs the body and keeps you very warm. It almost seems to self adjust as it doesn’t make you hot when the day warms up. It fits well and the length is great - keeps the lower body warm. It has good pockets and the color is attractive. It is a well made coat and the materials are a high quality. You can wear it outside daily or dress it up as it is very attractive. I will enjoy it for years to come - there are no negatives with this coat!

Well Made, Toasty Warm and Water Resistant!
This is my second review of this coat. I first reviewed the fit and style in October, but here it is December and I’ve been wearing it almost every day, now that it’s cold. If you are looking for a really warm down-filled coat and like the style of a quilted waxed cotton fabric that can shed rain, this coat is a good choice. This is not a puffer, it’s more of a country squire, elongated barn jacket that is very much in style right now. The loden green color is deep and muted. There is brown corduroy trim and the lining is black. The fit is on the slim side especially at the hips. I’m 5’3” and 135lbs and almost didn’t buy this coat because it didn’t come in petite. On me, the coat comes to right above my knees, and I’ve had to turn up the sleeves about 2”. I’ve worn this coat in 28 degree weather with just a cotton turtleneck and jeans underneath and I was plenty warm. There is a nicely insulated attached hood. I would have liked the pockets to have been roomier, though not a deal breaker. The coat is on the heavy side but I haven’t found it onerous or difficult to maneuver around in. Lastly, this coat is beautifully made with many quality details. It should provide many years of stylish warmth.

Amazing Jacket
This is the best winter jacket I have ever owned. It is stylish, warm, durable, and comfy. It is durable and warm enough for long Maine winters outside with the dogs, but also is stylish enough to be worn out to dinner and around town! I am absolutely thrilled with this coat!

Really solid Coat for Canadian weather
I saw this coat and one of the reviews mentioned the arm length being “suitable for an orangutan”. This is funny because my wingspan is 6’1, so I got it! My only issue is there’s no sizing chart…so purchasing this coat is a gamble, I got a medium, and for a 5’11 woman the size is appropriate, just a tiny bit snug. I will be exchanging for a larger size, since this coat doesn’t have too much shape, I figured I’d lean into its boxy fit. Nonetheless great jacket with remarkable construction, the lint is annoying but nothing a lint roller can’t fix.
Ll bean please put a more detailed sizing description, so buyers like me can get what they need!

Very warm, stylish and comfortable
I tested this coat out on a very cold snowy day in Quebec City, and I was really snug, warm and dry. The coat also looks very stylish too; kind of European. I got the green one.

Runs Small! Nice jacket!
Loden just arrived! Runs small! Size up! I typically wear a Lululemon size 4, and an XS in tops and I needed a large to be able to fit a sweater on underneath. Now the arms are gargantuan! I’ll need those taken in. It’s not as waxed as a Barbour but maybe, slightly, can you feel a bit of the oily texture on top of the fabric. It’s also not as heavy as I was assuming based on previous reviews and not as warm as an Aritzia TNA puffer for instance where once you put it on you feel instantly warmer. This one would still require a hat and gloves in the colder temperatures and long sleeves underneath. I think I’ll also purchase the brown.

Rather Bulky-Looking
This coat looks trimmer in the online photo. When I tried mine on, I thought that it made me look two sizes bigger than my actual size. It's well-made, and the nylon lining makes on-and-off a breeze. What I don't understand is why this coat is available in Regular and Plus but not in Petite. A Small Petite would have been thigh-length instead of knee-length on me, and the sleeves would have come down to my wrists instead of my hand-knuckles. Oh, well, at least it should be toasty-warm on the coldest of winter days.
