Soft, warm, quiet and naturally odor resistant, wool is the perfect natural fiber for the hunter or outdoor enthusiast. That's why Maine Guides have been wearing wool for over 125 years. We used it to make these attractive lightweight pants that are ideal for both the field and for casual wear. They're versatile enough to wear every day.
- 70% recycled 11.5 oz. wool, 20% recycled polyester, 10% recycled nylon.
- Handwash and dry flat, or dry clean.
- Soft wool is quiet, naturally resists odor and is warm even when wet.
- Easy to use shank button closure.
- Gusseted crotch and articulated knees for comfort and range of motion.

The best winter pants I have ever owned.
I've had a few pairs of heavyweight wool huntsman pants from LL Bean and other competing brands. These pants here are perfect. The size is exactly right. Not vanity sized, not too big, not to small, but exactly as described; a 36 is a 36. The fit and cut is not ridiculously baggy nor slim, it is spot - on. The weight is perfect. While not as incredibly thick as the full weight, Maine Guide pants (which I purchased as well) they are extremely versatile. They're not insanely itchy, they're breathable, they're warm, they are comfortable. I was iffy about the "techy" look to the side pocket and the zipper back pockets, but one I took off the tassles on the zippers, they classied-up quite a bit. Full recommendations. I'm hoping this stays in regular rotation as a pants LL Bean offers for years to come. I'm going to buy another pair if these ever wear out. Love them.

However they are double clothed in at least crotch area, while deer hunting a log ripped outer cloth in crotch area, rip did not go through inner layer

Bought for husband
They are smooth and not itchy. Fit perfectly, bought his typical size. Wore them to a cold weather football game, they kept him warm. Have wanted a pair of these for years! Very happy with them! They look great on him too!
