Disappointed
I have worn these several times since I purchased them. I have trusted the quality of LL Bean items and have been a loyal customer for many years. I am disappointed and surprised that these jeans carry the LL Bean trusted name. They look good for about the first hour of wear, and then they stretch, becoming baggy and unflattering, despite following the care instructions precisely. These jeans are the level of quality I expect from a discount store, at a fraction of the price. I rated them at 3 stars because the only thing right with these jeans is the length. I truly hope that LL Bean has not become the next victim of "fast fashion," sacrificing a stellar reputation. If these jeans are any indication, they are headed in that direction.

They do smell bad
I got these home and they smell bad. I am bummed because I really love how they fit. They are in the wash so hopefully the smell goes away. They have a strong burlap smell.

Horrible Chemical Smell
I purchased these jeans and have washed them no less than eight times. They came with a horrible chemical smell, like many jeans do, but it isn't washing out. They're currently hanging in the garage and have been for the last few weeks. They're great jeans, or I would already have returned them, but I can't wear them yet because they stink.

Great looking Jeans
Just bought a pair and I'm going to buy the darker color too since finding jeans I like has become challenging. These jeans look well-made! I like the styled waistband with two jeans' buttons, I like the styling of the front and back pockets, I like that there are darts on the back for shaping and I like the look of the deep hem at the bottom of the pant that says, "Yes, we could have scrimped here, but we didn't!" They feel great, and they aren't too loose nor too tight and they are soft.

Good but inconsistant sizing
I bought a pair of these utility jeans and really liked them (although they are a bit short on me). I ordered another pair, same color, same exact size, and they ran almost an inch shorter in length and an inch smaller in the waistline. The reason I loved the first pair was because they were so comfortable but I had to send the second pair back. I won't order another pair.

Baggy hips!
I am very sorry that L.L. Bean seems to have stopped making either favorite fit or classic fit jeans. I could count on both to fit me. These new things have nice styling with a pockets on the front, but they look really silly on my hips. And I do have hips, so it’s not that I don’t.

My Favorite Jeans
I bought these about a month ago and they’ve quickly become my favorite jeans. I wish they had them in more colors! They are soft inside and have just a little bit of stretch. The pockets are large enough to be practical.
