pilling and getting long hairlike threads

I bought this robe 11/13 wore it about 2 1/2 months it has little balls all over caused from friction . Arms front back. The color is navy blue.

lovely robe review but…
love the color, workmanship, fit dimensions; lightweight yet warm for home condo living.
But…has now developed lots of fuzzy pills.

Not standard LLBean quality
I have purchased from LLBean for years. Always satisfied! This robe's material is substandard. By the 5th wearing, it was piling. The robe design and fit was great!

I have had trouble with pilling on the robe. And while trying to remove them a very long plastic like thread comes out of the fabric.

I wanted to love this
I need a robe of this length so I don't trip going up stairs. I need a robe of this weight because this winter's winds are finding old spaces in window caulks. I wanted a robe of this color (navy), matching my recently acquired dark mood. This robe, I thought at first, was perfect. But I cannot wear it. I was fostering a collie and her litter, when the momma started blowing her coat. Dog hair was everywhere! And now that mom and her pups have gone to new homes, I'm left to deal with this hair -- which seems to have a parasitic life of its own. Dog hair is now interwoven with the robe's fabric, embedded forever. I've owned collies for decades so I know every tactic for removing dog hair. But nothing works with this robe. So, despite my efforts, I cannot wear it. (Psst, LLBean, if you're looking for a revolutionary fabric for household dusting, try one of these robes.)
