Solid footwear
Waited to write a review until I had consistently used these for a few weeks. I was looking for a slip on garden shoe. These boots are a solid construction and have been water resistant when walking in my muddy garden in rain. It is easy to brush off dirt and dried mud.
The base of the shoe is a rubbery texture and doesn’t flex much. For me, the wider width worked and the toe box is more natural. Even with socks, I didn’t have too many “snugness” issues. The top neck of the boot sits just above the ankle. Now, the neck opening is VERY narrow, which is intentional as you do not want water, dirt, bugs, sticks, etc coming into your shoe when working! This does mean these boots are, as others mentioned, difficult to put on… at first. I have worn these a few days a week for about two months. The top has loosened a bit and I now know the easiest way to get these on for me. That said, they are NOT, nor will they ever be, “slip on with no hands” shoes.
I will also mention, if you are prone to ankle or feet swelling, these boots are still fairly comfortable but the top ridge of the neck will irritate where it touches your leg above the ankle the first few wears until the materials molds to your movements a bit.
(For reference, I tend to wear below ankle socks so if you wear taller socks, know they might also add to more snugness initially)
Overall, these are sturdy boots. With patience on letting them stretch just a bit and learned the easiest method to pull them on for you, they are worth playing in the garden!)

Now my favorite boots
I am an avid gardener and this year I needed some boots to stand up to the job of living in the mountains. I needed something that could take on the job of walking on uneven ground as well as the periodic obstacles that are on my property, such as pinecones, rocks, etc. I tried two other styles before I settled on this one.
My Chelsea boots support my angle, feel good on my feet, are easy to put on, and repel moisture as well as drying quickly. They are true to size.
They have now become my favorite boots!!!
