Run small - order up a size
I purchased last month and wear 34-35 ish. I though they’d have some stretch. They were too tight to wear. I liked the shorts though.

Run very small, no stretch
These run very small, and have very little stretch. I wear several other LLBean shorts and jeans with a 36” waist. These were supposedly 36”, but I could not button them. The old Cresta shorts were much better and more comfortable.
