I live in southern California and wear this type of sun shirt for all outdoor activity.
I LOVE the thumbholes/hand coverage which my other shirts do not have—the hands can really show the effects of the sun! And I'm tall with long arms and the sleeves in the size large are actually long enough for me to properly use the thumbholes. It's lightweight and comfortable and fits as expected. (Size-wise i could probably get a medium but I prefer a looser fit.)

Comfy lightweight quarter zip.
Very nice lightweight quarter zip. Great for layering, or just to wear on its own. I purchased the medium size and it fits perfectly. Women who are larger on the top may want to size up.
