Had to return - not 100% cotton, sleeves too long
I wanted to love the dark salmon colour, but I was surprised to feel it uncomfortably hot when I put it on. I had not noticed it isn't 100% cotton. I have bought several seersucker shirts from LLBean in the past, so I just assumed. Also, the petite M that I ordered had sleeves that were about 4" too long. Finally, the ripple in the fabric is much wider than their all-cotton seersucker, so after laundering, I felt like I was wearing a pyjama top. Very sloppy looking. I returned it to our local store without any difficulty. Disappointed that for such an expensive shirt, there were so many problems.

Easy Peasy Care
I just love this Seacoast Seersucker shirt. It's so very comfortable and washes up in a breeze. It needs no ironing and looks beautiful. I'm thinking that I just might need the pink one also!!!

Lovely plaid seersucker, a basic that’s not boring
The fabric is a beautiful blue/green plaid seersucker. It washes well, and doesn’t really require ironing. I read the reviews and sized down— the right choice.

I ordered a Petite Large after reading many reviews, and yes, it was somewhat oversized, plus the back hangs lower than the front. I first washed in cold water, did a light dryer run, and it helped the back's length. Shrinkage was minimal, so I went ahead and washed it in my regular Warm/Cold wash, with a normal dryer run, and now the back is a bit shorter. I wore this shirt over a short sleeved tee shirt, left it open. Iit transitioned well from icy A/C to 85-90 degree weather over one day. It is soft, drapes well and I look forward to wearing it buttoned but by itself.

Beautiful, Soft Shirt
This is a lovely, soft and comfortable shirt. Had to return my usually medium for a small. Have to chuckle. A couple years back shirts and jerseys were down to my thighs. After that they became bigger, and now huge in some cases. Recently, shirts now hit my midriff for the most part. I understand that LLB is chasing style changes but wish they were offering more of a classic style for us older customers. (Yes, there are some.) And, go back to their roots. Years ago I used to be thrilled to get a clothing item in the mail because it fitted, styled so well, that it was better than what I expected to receive, Now it's a struggle and some of quality is not the same.

Best of Seersucker Cotton and Modal Mix
I've had several LL Bean seersucker shirts over the years but found them to be somewhat stiff and occasionally scratchy. Blue, pink, turquoise, all lovely but not terribly flattering. Having read all the customer reviews of both seersucker shirts offered this year, I decided to go with the softer big shirt blend, and paid close attention to the comments regarding the oversized Big Shirt. Using the Size chart, I ordered a Large Petite and it is just perfect. Loose and breezy without being a tent, and it features the unique seersucker weave which lends to the coolness. A little nice touch is the smaller extra button on the deep cuff, keeping it tidy. I paid an extra $10 for this style, but I think I will like it more than the standard seersucker shirt.
