Good summer pants
These pants do not fit the same as a different style I got in the same order. So a bit too tight, but I’m keeping them because they are good looking, and I’ll lose weight eventually, right?!

Linen Pants too Tight in Waist
I love the color and fabric. However, I don't like the wide waistband. I am contemplating cutting off the top third. Also, I find that the elastic is too tight. Having a draw string for these pants seems unnecessary unless you are very slim. I am normal weight and find the tightness of the waist uncomfortable. Hoping they will eventually stretch- or maybe I will make some cuts into the elastic to loosen it some.

Cut Very Slim. For thin hips and thighs, only!
I was really looking forward to receiving these oatmeal linen pants. I normally wear a size 8 or 10 petite pant, depending on the style and manufacturer. I bought this pant in 10 petite and I could hardly pull them up, they were so tight. Once I got them on, they were too tight through the hip and thigh. They fit me like a size 6. The waist band is elasticized and 2” wide, which is quite wide for a mid-rise waist. This is the first miss in my years of buying petite pants from Bean. I don’t know if this is a petite sizing issue. I’m sad.

Jeans versus "Utility" pants
I have only worn these once. They are very comfortable. The fabric was a little heavier than I expected for a summer pant, but they were still breathable and I think the fabric will last longer than most linen types. Interesting it is called a "utility" pant. I think of "utility" as a work pant. I will consider wearing them in place of jeans.
