Looks great, but too boxy.
I ordered a large for my 5'10" tall daughter. It is an attractive sweater, nice stitch pattern, heavy enough to be warm. It was too boxy for my daughter. A closer fit would have pleased her more. It was also short for her, as it came up above her pant line when she lifted her arms.

My second mariner sweater
I have the quarter-zip and just got this crew neck in sage green. I am very happy with both. The fabric is heavy enough for winter but the sweaters do not feel (or look) overwhelming. Thank you, LL Bean, for being one of the few companies offering petite sizes in tops as well as in pants.

Nice texture.
This pullover sweater has a soft texture. It's comfortable and provides adequate warmth (I wear it over a flannel shirt).

Too Large
I own a number of L.L.Bean sweaters, jerseys and jackets which I purchased more than five years ago all of which are sized XS. This sweater is enormous and cannot possibly be an XS. The sleeves extend over my hands and down to the base of my fingers. When matched up to a similar style Bean sweater, the width is about 2 inches more on each side seam. The color (stone), weight and knit of the sweater is okay, but the inconsistency in sizing has been a problem for me the last two years.

Mariner sweater is worth buying
