Sizing has changed since previous version
I own the previous version of this shoe - wanted another pair; ordered the same size (8-1/2) and found the new pair are too small length-wise and too narrow in the toe box. This is exactly the same issue as another reviewer described, who wore the same size shoe - I shouldn't have ignored her concern. They're very well made and I loved the color, but I don't think they would have fit correctly even if I tried a different size.

Cute Hiking Shoes

Strong, pretty, and capable.
I have EDS and require inserts. These shoes are strong enough and uppers flexible enough that they work very well. I rely on good footwear a lot, and it's been working great.

Not comfortable for my feet
They were very stiff, not good arch support, and too short in the toe. These were wide width, but I did not find them to be so. I normally wear 8 to 8.5 and ordered 8.5 wide.

great shoe for country life
This is my third pair of train model x hiking shoes, though the first ventilated pair. I love them!!! My first pair is my work around the farm shoes, the second my go to town shoes. This pair is my in-house chores shoes. Both styles provide excellent support to my feet and thus my ankles. They also provide excellent stability on uneven ground and the waterproof ones keep my feet dry when heavy dew in on the grass or I step in a grass-concealed puddle. i highly recommend this shoe.

Sturdy with a stiff sole
These hiking shoes are sturdy and seem well made. I ended up preferring the Access hiker, which also has a stiff sole and is a bit less bulky.

Comfortable and the regular width runs wide. Very grippy in mud but not on rocks
