Update to my review on 8/6/25 (Wide is not wide)
In my previous review I noted that the shoes were well-made but didn't fit because they weren't wide. I exchanged them for a larger size (went from 12.5W to 13W), which fit well enough (not great) for me to keep since I plan to use them only when doing yard work - not for hiking. I know that several other reviewers have mentioned width as being a problem, so I hope that LL Bean redesigns these shoes to have a proper toe-box for wide feet.

Wide is not wide
I wear wide shoes so I ordered these shoes in a wide size; however, they weren't wide (although the label had a W). Other than this, the shoes seemed to be well made and probably would've been comfortable if they were wider.

Best LLBeanTrail Model Boot I've Ever Bought
Been buying the Bean Trail Model boots for 20 years. These are the best ever. Congrats to your product development, manufacturing and sourcing teams. Continues to be the best value out there.What I particularly like about this redesign is the extra leather around the boot and around the toe. I wear thru the toes easily and the new larger front leather tip will reduce that. I particularly like the new mess upper's appearance. The insole comfort is also great.
