New Review Update
I reviewed these poorly earlier upon returning them, because they were way too tight after years of wearing the same model, but then I figured something out. My feet and ankles were swollen from a medication, which made them much tighter than they should have been. However, that did not explain them also being too short, but ... after thinking about that, I considered that they always ran large, like I always ordered a half size shorter than my normal shoes. So after addressing my swelling issue, I took a chance and ordered a half size up. And sure enough, they fit perfectly. I'm guessing LL Bean got complaints about the old shoes running a bit large, and finally corrected the sizing. I am very glad I took the chance! The reason for only 4 stars is my experience with the durability; although they are great while they last, they only last with daily use about a year.

Sizing
These shoes run small. I ordered my normal size and my toes touch the end making for uncomfortable walking. Never a problem with Rockport, so I’m thinking a different manufacturer using a different last.
Otherwise, well built.

Footwear
Albany has the only footwear that lasts. I work on my feet everyday and hike weekends. All other brands failed several times a year. I get 2 years out of my LLBEANS.
