Great Minimalist Bag, Wish Logo Were Smaller
I purchased this hydration sling in the mahogany color and find that it has all the features I need for use on a walk or shopping, etc.. The front zippered pocket is large enough for my phone, but would not fit some of the biggest phones available today. Inside that pocket is an open mesh pocket and a clip to hold keys. I can easily carry my phone, keys, license, credit cards, cash, etc.. I want to address a few negative things I saw mentioned in other reviews. First, someone said that it really only works with 32 oz bottles and is otherwise too loose. I use a 16 oz cylindrical stainless steel bottle and this bag holds it securely. It is of course possible that some specific bottles, maybe those with a very narrow neck, feel too loose. Someone also mentioned that it should have a clip or something to hold the double strap together. I can see a time when that would be helpful (perhaps when wearing on the waist) but I didn’t notice the need because I wear this cross-body. When you receive the sling the strap is adjusted to be very short, and as such the entire strap is doubled-up. However, you can easily adjust it to lengthen it, and when I have it adjusted to be long enough for cross-body wear about two-thirds of the length is a single strap, and only about one-third is doubled-up. In that case there is no obvious need to hold these straps together. Someone also mentioned that they would like a pad on the strap. This would be nice if you have a very heavy water bottle but the lack of it doesn’t bother me. You can buy after-market shoulder strap pads. My one complaint is that the L.L.Bean logo is far larger than I would like. This is not a big deal when it is used in a sporty setting but I would like it to be a bit more subtle for every day use. A smaller logo near the bottom would look better.

Great carrier, just 2 minor nits.
It's great for holding my insulated bottle and the front packet is large enough to hold my large extra phone battery. About the only thing I will need to add is a shoulder pad as a full bottle and large external battery do add some weight applied to the should by a narrow strap.
If you do another run or update I would recommend using two zipper pulls. This would allow one to extend a cable from the top of the pocket rather than far down the side. That would reduce stress on the cable connector and having a cable going out the side and possibly catching on things as one moves.

Functional, Stylish, Good Quality
Nice style and quality...and I am particular about these two aspects. I only wish the adjustable strap came with a clip or sliding loop to keep the overlapping portions together.

Convenient sling for water bottle
Very handy carrier for water bottle, with a front pocket for phone and keys. My one complaint is that there’s just a one-way zipper on the front pocket that means you can’t leave the pocket partially open at the top to get easy access to a phone.

This makes it convenient to take both my phone & bottle with me. My one complaint would be that so far I can not keep my drink bottle, no matter the size, in it. I hope it only can be used with a LLBean bottle & not others. That would be a very big disappointment.
