Since reading the reviews I’m not sure if I should just return it!?
Reviews had to be filled in here so that I could post.
But I actually am not sure at this point in time.
Do I return this bag or do I risk finding out for myself?

Design flaw
I received this bag yesterday and was so excited to finally see it in person. Based on other reviews, I knew it would be a 'love it or hate it' piece; for me, I did like it. However, a significant quality issue surfaced when I tried to attach the long strap. The hook is simply too small for the leather loop. To get it on, I’d have to either force-bend the leather or risk scratching it with the metal. For a bag at this price point, that’s unacceptable. While I don’t strictly need the long strap, this flaw definitely impacts the overall quality and usability. I’m torn because I really like the bag, but I’m disappointed by this oversight. I hope the brand addresses this for future buyers.

Beautiful craftsmanship, but didn't look real
This bag is everything I wanted in a leather tote & lives up to LL Bean's standards for craftmanship. However, if you're looking for a timeless leather bag that will age well with a classic vintage, fine grain look, this is NOT the bag for you. I'm so sad to send it back, but I agree with the other reviewers that say the bag LOOKS like high-quality vinyl or other synethic leather. It truly looks like fake leather.
