Sleeves were short on tall, jacket kind of snug if you like that.i ordered one size up and it was perfect for me.xxl tall.sleeves were good,room for warm shirt.

Stellar Quality, Style, and Fit
From the moment I forest tried on this jacket, it was apparent that the quality was as expected from Bean. Every detail and feature feels thoughtful and intentional. The snaps and zipper are robust and sturdy, the cut offers a clean and modern but classic silhouette, and there’s a nice amount of insulation to provide warmth without being bulky. On colder days I do like to layer with a hooded jacket for a little extra warmth, and it does not (for me) provide the type of warmth of a winter parka I have, but I also weara base layer from October to March. One thing to mention: I bought the dark gray/black teal version of this jacket; someone said they liked my green jacket. I said it’s not green, and this started a conversation where we ended up surveying everyone around us what color they saw. It was almost 50/50, but green won. So it might pull green to some people. Either way it gets compliments and looks and feels great.

I have written a previous review of this item before winter set in so this is a bit of an update. First I have a 49 inch chest i.e. between sizes the XXL which is too big and this one which is on the small size. I have 4 LLBean coats- leather coat, fleece jackets, and puffer jacket all XL in size and they fit really well- plenty of chest room and sleeves that are perfect in length. This coat is sized differently in that be warned if you are over 48 inch chest there is very little wiggle room in this jacket and for me the sleeves are an inch too long compared to my other coats. I am comfortable wearing a long sleeve Henley t and this coat but cannot wear much else without it being too tight. That said I have been out in the low 30s, low 10s and at 15F in a strong with with just my Henley underneath. I was doing mild work and was comfortable, cool but comfortable - this was great in the wind and comparable to my puffer jacket in warmth. I like the style, the material the look and overall the coat-- but again it you are over 48 inch chest size this is not like other LL Bean coats/jackets it will be tight so based on my experience 48 is pretty much max in this case if you want under garment flexibility. I wish it were sized more like the other bean XL jackets.. Still overall I like this coat and it will get worn.
