Overall good boots. However the insoles are not very thick and don’t provide much cushion. Replaced with better insoles.

Comfortable Boot
I recently purchased these boots for a hiking trip in the Canadian Rockies. They had little to no break in time yet the boots were comfortable from the start. They felt sturdy on rugged trails and provided excellent traction. They are roomy enough that my feet and toes never felt pinched or cramped. The ankle support was excellent. We had one day of persistent rain, and my feet remained dry. I've only owned leather hiking boots to date but am glad that I tried these as they are more lightweight and breathable and as mentioned, very comfortable. Hopefully they will hold up over the years--that will be the true test. The only negative is that they feel warm in temps 50 F and up due to the waterproof lining, so I will most likely use a my Bean low cut hikers, as this non-waterproof pair t breathes well in the summer months through the mesh. In all, I am very pleased so far and am glad to be out of my clunky leather boots.

Comfortable for hiking.
Bought this shoe for use during seven days of hiking in Iceland, where daily rain is expected. The shoe fit perfectly, light weight and comfortable. However, it is not water proof in "heavy rain" but dry in passing light passing showers. First noticed wet spot above the toe area which lead to damp socks on top, not wet but damp on top.
