Built for trail hiking
Sturdy sole gives a solid base for rough trails I like to hike. Rocks, boulders, and tree roots make stability essential and these shoes deliver that.
Uppers are supportive but not restrictive, and the mod heighth provide ankle support needed for those rough spots to prevent twists and sprains.
I haven't yet worn in rain, mud or snow but would expect them to be able to keep my feet dry.

Great traction, warm, and dry
My first hike in these boots was to the top of Old Speck, one of Maine’s 4000 footers, in late October. The boots kept my feet warm and dry. I did not have to walk through any water but it did rain and snow some.
The grip was great, which is to be expected from a new pair of boots, and needed on a day after it had rained, and when the first snow of the winter was on the summit.
The only con is that I have a high arch and the boots are snug to put on.

The Trail Model X Mid Waterproof Hiker are perfect fit, very comfortable. No skin rubbing and great ankle support …perfect. I’ve walked 26 miles, great experience.

Very good boot
Perfect fit, you do not need heavy socks. I wear white ankle socks. I wore them when it rained for better traction. Much better then a boat shoe in the rain.

Very comfortable but a little large
Very comfortable boot, but size it was a little large. Exchanged for an 8.5 and it fit like a glove. Suggest you also purchase 1/2 size down. I usually go for the low cut style but purchased this shoe and 100% happy with quality, fit and comfort. Highly recommend to others and quality built.

Comfort and Style
These shoes look and feel so good. The grey is a little bit of a brown hue which I like because ideally, I wanted to get the light tan leather upper ones but they were only for women.
