[00:00:41.50] I feel very blessed to be able to live so close to a national monument. We can't always get out and travel and go to different parks and monuments, but my family and I are able to jump in our car, drive five minutes, and feel removed from the city.

[00:01:27.43] I used to come here so much as a teenager, it's so peaceful. And watching my daughter discover things that she's never seen is so beautiful.

[00:01:48.53] There's so much to enjoy here, the geology, the nature, the hiking, the culture, and the history. We'll see petroglyphs that represent calendar and the passing of time.

[00:02:05.14] There's lots of carvings here of animals and various plants. I'm just happy to be here to be able to enjoy it and know that it's protected for future generations.

[00:02:17.00] One of the first things that I like to do before coming out here and looking at the petroglyphs and walking the trails is to pray and give thanks to mother nature and to the ancestors who were once here in these areas.

[00:02:33.32] As a native woman, these places are still very important to me. I'm just thankful that it's here to be able to teach my kids about other native tribes in hopes that it'll intrigue them to dig deeper into who they are and where they come from as well.
