Smooth, Substantial, & Not Crisp
I have not washed nor used the sheets yet. They appear to be top quality and wonderfully lacking in unpleasant crispness. I abhor crackly noisy stiff sheets. How anyone can rest on them, I do not know. I will be hemming up the sides to fit a relatively narrow sofa bed. First things first. Then a wash and then we'll see. Here's hoping. I will add, though I doubt that you want or need to keep this in the review, that LLBean has so much disappointed me re: women's supima tees, especially - ones that I have depended on in the past. For many months, now = yuck! The murky colors and the poor/changed cut of long sleeves don't begin to meet what I thought were your standards. Some, I've returned and some I put up with. Your shifting around the names of colors is confusing and vastly misleading. I wish you'd get all that sorted out. This, combined with a third rate charge card company, has almost led me to say that I'd better give up you. I don't want to do that, but you've led me to feel that way. I will evaluate the sheets, once they're hemmed up and washed. It's kind of a test, folks. If you disappoint me on these sheets, too, then you might just be toast.

Nice - though expensive
The material is treated with a finishing substance that feels slick, or slippery. However, it washes right out. The sheet is terrific after that.

Crisp and cool
The sheets are very, very nice. You can feel the quality. They are crips and cool even under our duvet. I would highly recommend these sheets.

Disappointing
I miss the thick, crisp L.L. Bean sheets so much. These are as thin as a cheap set from somewhere else, and they don’t hold up like before.
