Doesn’t stay zipped up
Can’t keep the jacket zipped up. Poor quality of zipper , constantly keeps opening up.

I have not had the opportunity to wear this coat yet as it has not been cold enough but I purchased it because of the light weight of the coat , the snap closures over the zipper and the knit cuffs which are much better than a velcro strap to keep the cold from going up your arms. I am able to move comfortably in the coat and the 3/4 length will keep me warm during the really cold days. This coat was more expensive than other
winter coats I have purchased so I hope it will serve me well for several years. I have read other reviews of some Bean coats that the zipper was a problem,
but this one works well. I like the fact that this coat is NOT overly bulky. Should be good.

Perfect Coat
I'm 6'0 ft and rarely find a coat that hits me mid-calf. This coat is warm while being lightweight, easy to pack and roomy for layering. Got compliments the first time I wore it.

Useful winter coat
I received my new 3/4 length down coat just in time for the beginning of cold weather in eastern Pennsylvania. First, the color is a lovely reddish berry, but very toned down. The coat itself is ample. Heavy sweaters or layered sweatshirts fit very comfortably underneath. I had to fluff the ruff in the dryer using no heat, but it still didn't really fluff out as I would have liked. What I appreciated was the velcro piece on the back of the hood that allowed me to adjust it so it was not flopping in my face, which was easy to manage even as I walked my dog. There is a flap that I could use to cover my neck and chin when it really gets cold. I like that it is 3/4 length which is much better than my down jacket, which allowed wind to blow up my back. There are two improvements, however, that I would make before labeling the coat "ultra warm." First, there are no snug cuffs around the wrists to keep out the wind. Also, the coat would be so much warmer if it had a sherpa-type liner on 1/2 of the back as shown in another style of Bean's coats. All in all, I'm glad I bought the coat and will wear it everyday to walk my dog. I would definitely recommend the coat.

Returning today. Not warm at all.
It in the store under the label "warmest" and is literally called the "ultrawarm" but I wore it to walk in sunny 50 degree weather and every breeze went right through. I was frozen by the end of my walk.
It also already has threads coming loose after that one wear? I purposely purchased from LLB because I have 10 year old duck boots still going strong and thought Id be getting a well made coat. Absolutely disappointing.

This is my third Ultrawarm 3/4 length coat that I have purchased over the last 13 years. Very warm and comfortable to wear.

Complete package
My purchase just arrived, and I couldn’t be happier! I bought the small petite. It is roomy enough that even wearing layered long sleeve shirt and sweatshirt I still have plenty of range of motion of my arms.It is lightweight but exceptionally warm. My iPhone 15+
fits in the inside breast pocket as well as the front pockets. Despite others indicating that they felt like their phone could fall out, my phone fits perfectly without any worries of it falling out.
The fur trim is slightly anemic, but it’s all functional and gets the job done without being unattractive or diminishing the asthetics of the coat.

short pockets
I've owned one of these for years. Bought another one recently and found pockets had been shortened from 6 inches to 4 inches. In winter, a lot of extra goes in those pockets (mittens, phone, doggy bags etc.) and 4 inches is just NOT enough. Silly way to cut costs in a company that tests the heck out of their camping gear.
