Fits perfectly
This coat fits me perfectly and is so comfortable. I noticed Llbean logos on all of my coats at home. I could be biased but I am always glad that I'm wearing a coat with Llbean on it. It's a sign that I will always be warm and cozy when I have it on.

Great coat for the cold
Love this coat. It's been a rough winter in New York, much colder than usual, and this has been my "go to" coat for those days. I like the detachable hood and the fact that you can either zip it up, or snap it closed, or both. Keeps me warm enough to be outside in the snow with the grand-kids! I am size 4 and XS is perfect, even with a sweater and shirt underneath.

I have the same line (I think) of coat from 15 years ago, bought in XS Reg., fits perfectly. But it's getting worn out so I was trying to replace it. Sadly, I will be returning the new version. First, it's huge! I'm 5 feet, 113 lbs (legs and arms too long for petite sizes) and this coat fits like a tent despite being the exact same size I ordered in the past (XS Reg.). It sits literally inches away from my body so would be impossible to stay warm in it as air would be coming up. No internal drawstring to even tighten the waist. It definitely didn't feel as warm as the old one, but hard to say as I didn't wear this outside to try it since it was so obviously too big (aside from being too big in the heat-efficiency sense, it also looks ridiculous, looks at least 2 sizes too large). I checked the measurements really carefully and my body matches what's listed in the size guide as the range for XS Reg., but this coat is much bigger than that.

Not that warm
I wanted to love this coat as my warmest winter coat but I am sadly disappointed. It is not as warm as some of my other coats. It has no L.L. Bean logo on it so I wonder if it’s a different brand. I kept the coat, but it will not be worn as my go to coat for the winter.

Ultrawarm Women’s 3/4 coat
I bought this in January to replace a 14 year-old Bean coat and because I wanted a longer length. It has kept me very warm and comfortable in a very cold and snowy Upstate New York winter. The cuffs inside are good, as is the double zipper. The hood is warm and I like the option to remove the fur trim. My only complaint is with the pockets. Others have mentioned that the side pockets are not overly deep, especially to hold gloves. The inside pocket is worthless. It is the size of a pocket pack of tissues! It does seem to run a bit large since I usually wear Large but the Medium fit better. Overall, a decent coat that I’m sure I’ll use for many years.
