Just received coat
I bought this 3/4 coat because the design said there were two interior pockets - one zipped and one velcro - but the pockets are very shallow and small. The velcro one appears to be for cellphones but it is too narrow for most of today's phones. The zip pocket is also quite small. I hope the coat is as warm as it was rated. I will keep it but not thrilled by the design.
I ordered a Regular x-tra Large so I would have more interior room for heavy sweaters and the regular, instead of petite, so I would have more length. Most of the full length coats were way to long for a short person.

Why use velcro?
I love the coat except that velcro is used to close the neck. The velcro catches on knit scarves and sweaters ruining the clothes.

Huge disappointment
Wow, L.L.Bean has drastically lowered its standards. I was shocked when I saw the low quality of this coat. I wish I had taken pictures before returning it. The material is paper thin. It's supposed to be water repellent but a tiny amount of water drizzled on it soaked right in. The stitching was loose and threads were hanging out here and there. The faux fur ruff looks like it was taken from an ancient stuffed animal. For the price, this quality is inexcusable. You've lost a long time customer.

Warm 3/4 jacket
Love this jacket. Great for cold wis weather. Only drawback is i wish pockets were deeper to make it easier to access my phone.

Shame on You LL BEAN!
This is the 3rd purchase of this coat I have made in 15 years. I remember when it was $129.00. At that time it had METAL fittings (zippers, snaps, etc). Imagine my horror when I willingly paid $300 for the same coat only to discover it now has PLASTIC zippers and snaps. So LL Bean, that cheap move saved you what? .30 a coat? Yet you are charging double for half the quality! SHAME!
