For nearly 90 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

I bought this because the Buchanan tartan is my favorite my family’s tartan. The last two purchases were the Buchanan ancient and Buchanan modern. Quality on those like this currant shirt is exceptional and they lasted over ten years of heavy use.

Awesome flannel shirt
I recently purchased two Scotch Plaid Flannel Shirts, they are amazing. They are a bit heavier than I usually get and I wear a 2x, I am down from a 5x and some of the 2x shirts are more like 1.5x, you know where you get that stretched opening by the belly, anyway, these are not like that, these are a 2x maybe a 2.25. They look great and feel fantastic. I like to keep a heavier shirt in my truck just for backup. Well made
