For nearly 90 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

Great quality, soft fabric!, a nice neutral plaid.
Gave this as a gift for my Dad in the Natural color to layer under the Lakewashed Double Knit full zip cardigan. Really nice fabric, perfect weight (not too heavy or too thin), super soft & made well. True to size. He loved it!

I always check out Men's shirts for my son
The plaid orange color looks and fits my son great. (The blue was sold out in his size L) The material is just thick enough for our warm CA weather.

Pretty good - but
I've bought clothes from L.L. Bean for 50 years because of the good value. The shirt feels good looks good and fits right but, it still seems a little lower quality than they used to be. The material is a little bit thinner. The buttons are a little smaller stitching is not quite as tight.
Maybe my memory is too golden but it seems like they have gone down a bit
