Not the same
We've been using the LLB fireplace gloves for years, and usually get 4-5 seasons out of a pair before they have to be replaced. I love them and can't live without them, but..... The pair I gifted at Christmas are already in the same shape as the pair they were replacing. The fingers are hard and warped and the suede got smoothed out so it's had to hold a big log without it slipping. If we're only going to get one season out of them, I might be looking for other alternatives next time.

Comfort and functionality

Purchased to replace a 10-year old pair of LLBean fireplace gloves. I just wish they were available in a ladies (smaller) size. The length is fine/essential, but my hands swim in them. I have no dexterity. But otherwise, good quality. They do the job.

Best quality fireplace gloves out there
I have been looking for quality long arm gloves for a year and finally found these on LL Bean. The length is great as it covers the full forearm and no chance of burns. They are well insulated and cannot feel the heat through them, Only issue would be it's 1 size and can be a large for smaller hands. Highly recommend them, worth the price as they should last for many years

Used every day to stoke an outdoor wood boiler
I use these gloves every day to stoke an outdoor wood boiler that heats my house. They protect my hands from rough firewood as well as from hot coals. Only disappointment: the previous iteration of these gloves were lined in a really nice plaid material. .

I bought these gloves a year ago and I love them! They've saved my wrists/arms more than once. They're very well made and I would buy again if I ever needed to. Highly recommend.
