Since 1944, we've been making our iconic Boat and Tote in Maine. The same way. Our only way. First introduced as "Bean's Ice Carrier," it's proudly stitched by a dedicated team from high-quality American cotton canvas, with a reinforced canvas bottom and rugged overlapped seams. When it's finished, you'll be able to tell it's an L.L.Bean original by the signature "V-point" detail on both sides. We make your tote one at a time here in Brunswick, Maine. Then it's your turn to make it your own.

Rated 5 de 5 de par They’ll Outlive Us All I bought my first Boat and Tote bag as a school book bag in the early 80s, and I’m still buying them 40+ years later — that should tell you everything! It’s not that they ever need to be replaced (on the contrary, they just keep going), it’s that they solve so many problems. I have empty ones ready for whatever I need to lug with me, I have ones that stay packed and ready for different activities, I’ve bought a bunch as gifts over the years (everybody loves a monogrammed tote), and these three are for a new car — a large zip-top to organize emergency supplies in the trunk, a medium zip-top to keep regular supplies in the backseat (snacks, wipes, chargers and cables, paper maps, etc.), and a small open-top one for the passenger footwell to corral all the stuff that goes in and out every day. (You can even monogram them “CAR”, so everybody knows where they belong.) The most astonishing thing: the quality hasn’t changed in 40+ years. They’ll outlive us all. :)
