Not as good as I remember
The tongue of the show is sown with the shoe so it bunches up a little weird and not as easy to slip on. The soles aren’t as comfortable as I remember. The fluid tongue of the shoe is a way better fit and style.

should have ordered my size
It said they ran big to size down. Regret doing that. My toes touch the end. Yes they were hard to get on my feet. Very hard so I added some lard and my foot slipped in. Just kidding about the lard. A lot of wiggling of my feet and my feet were in. They are very comfy and great in mud and rain. I always wanted a pair of these and the sale made it possible. Just need to cut my big toes off so they don't touch.

How to bypass hurting ankles
My neighbor taught me that you can avoid the dreaded bend of the laces hurting your ankles, by when you lace up your boots in the traditional manner, but at the second eyelet hole, pull your lace straight up to the third eyelet then cross your laces as usual.
At the Second eyelet is where your ankle bends when you walk in your boots. My neighbor was in the Army and they laced their boots that way to not to have sore ankles while walking.
I take a 6 1/2 , the 6 was plenty of room with socks. Love the price.
