The original L.L.Bean Boot, made in Maine since 1912.
- With light or midweight socks: Whole sizes, order one size down. Half sizes, order 1½ size down. Example: 9 or 9½, order a size 8. With heavyweight socks: Whole sizes, order your normal size. Half sizes, order one size down. Example: 9 or 9½, order a size 9.
The original Maine Hunting Shoe was Leon Leonwood Bean's first product, introduced in 1912. Over the years, we've made lots of improvements to these boots, but hunters have told us that they miss the moccasin-like feel that our original boots had in the woods. So we set out to bring it back.

Boot quality and experience
I got these boots for my wife and she loves them. The fit is perfect and she finds them very stylish. The rubber sole is flexible and comfortable- unlike some “designer” brands that are made from a harder and less durable material. The new boot leather smell is amazing right out of the box. Authentic. Real. Boots.

Comfortable and practical
The boots are very comfortable and I wear them constantly, I even forget that I am in boots! My foot do not get wet and they do not sweat as badly as they did in my previous rubber boots. I like the higher boots because I do not worry as much walking through the fields with these. I am enjoying them completely!
