Material and looks are great,
I have been wearing double L bean jeans for over 20 years and was always very happy. I purchased 2 pair about 6 weeks ago. I bought 38w-29L. I received a tight 38W and about 31 length. I ordered classic fit. They were very bulky though the hips and thighs. I had to pay to have them shipped back. I love the quality of the pants if only I could get the right size. I don’t like buying high priced jeans and having to pay for shipping them back. Very disappointed. Still would like a pair if I could get the right size.

Belt loop broke (again)
The belt loop broke, again. I say again because the same thing happened on my previous pair, though I thought that was just because they were well used. This pair was less than 2 months old, and the same thing occurred. Either due to weak stitching or general poor workmanship, these are no longer long-lasting jeans and do not reflect traditional LL Bean quality.

They're not the same.
O got these a month ago and they are no where near as good a fit as previous versions of the same jeans.
They are too long, also to large in the waist.
Older versions of the same jeans with the same specs fit much better.

Cheaper Quality at a Higher Price
I have been wearing LLBean classic Fit Straight Leg jeans for close to fifteen years along with numerous other LLBean products. I can't even begin to guess how many pairs of these jeans that I have bought and worn out over the years. In the last couple of years the regular classic fit straight leg jeans have gone from $49.95 a pair to $69.95 a pair and the quality has significantly gone down. These jeans used to wear like iron and I never had any issues with them. In the last couple of years I have returned numerous pairs for the same issues. Where the back pockets are sewn on, the material quickly begins to break down, fray and tear. I have had two pair actually rip after only a couple of months. I really like the fit and feal of these jeans but if this issue continues at $69.95 a pair, I will have to look for a different brand of jeans to wear. I have attached some pictures as just a couple of examples of what the ongoing issues have been.

good, but pocket size has been reduced
These have been my go-to jeans for several years, and I've been mostly happy with them throughout the years. However the most recent pair I bought appears to have much smaller front pockets. I compared the previous pairs with the new pair, and there was a large section removed. I wish the pockets were the same size that they used to be.
