When our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, developed this shirt more than 90 years ago, durability was the goal. Then as now, the 100% cotton shirt is brushed for exceptional softness and warmth. these are great shirts. I have them in seveal colors; navy, gray, brown and barley. However, unfortunately, the traditional is not longer offered in barley. A light color is desirable.

The real deal, nice and heavy
These are the real deal! It used to be a number of companies made these heavy chamois shirts, but not many these days. Nice and heavy material. They have become my wintertime uniform. Thinner ones last about 2 winters. These last forever.

This Chamois Shirt is Wonderful! It's like wearing a soft grey blanket made into a shirt.
I got one of these for a gift long ago, and it finally wore out after 30+ years.
It is so good to have this new Chamois Shirt. It is an amazing shirt. It's warm, and yet it breaths, to keep me the right temperature; and it is so soft and yet thick and strong.
