When our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, developed this shirt more than 90 years ago, durability was the goal. Then as now, the 100% cotton shirt is brushed for exceptional softness and warmth. Better fit, looks neater
Fits well, XL is not quite as big as previous ones were so the front panels of the shirt don't overlap by 8=10 inches like the preior one.

Great shirt
Bought this for my husband. He loves it! We got the XL, traditional fit and I was sure it would be too big. But it’s not. He wears it as an outer layer and the thick, chamois material looks good as a looser fit. The burgundy color is nice and rich. It washed perfectly. Great to wear for three seasons in Michigan.

I love this shirt—wish I could wear it every day!
This is a terrific shirt: beefy, soft fabric and beautiful tailoring. I’ve washed it twice so far, and it still looks like new. I bought the blue, a great color; if the others all weren’t so dark, I’d buy more.
