Disappointing
Hoping old version comes back! Higher then original waist can conflict with rib cage and tighter through legs (for one Petite woman with heavy legs) is not always a good thing!

Still buying these after 20 yrs
Bought size 6, medium-tall. The only jeans I've found that really fit. I'm 5'6", 130 lbs and have farm girl thighs but a smaller waste. These jeans fit well and wear well. I wish LL Bean would bring back this item in olive and khacki. And this fit in cargo pants.

The fit is just right; though I normally get petit, the inseam on the regular is just a bit longer. Really like the dark color.

Ultra High-Rise - the fix for a long torso!
These are the best-fitting jeans I have ever found. I have a long torso and most jeans that say they sit "at waist" actually hit a couple of inches below my navel. I bought the medium tall inseam and while I could have probably used another inch there, they work well enough to still be my "go to" jeans. I went up a size because in addition to being tall, I am pear-shaped and have to first fit my hips, then worry about the rest. And yes, I am a child of the 80's - this relaxed fit with tapered legs is what I expect in a pair of jeans! Bean tends to run small and narrow, but that's OK - these jeans WORK!
