Winter Wardrobe Staple--Interlock Turtleneck
The Ll Bean interlock turtleneck is a very warm layering piece. I wear turtlenecks in the winter and the Interlock turtleneck is the best with great detailing.

Nice Top - Not My Favorite Cotton
Well made turtleneck, but the interlock cotton feels COLD on my body. I have a few other LS turtlenecks that are cold when I wear them (other brand than LLB). Great fit. I understand that this interlock knit holds up to laundering instructions, which may be one a the reasons that this top is so popular. Well-made, nice fit but cold. Sadly, I returned it.

great color and good fit
Bought the "creamy apricot" color, which I like very much. This turtleneck fits me well, seems such a simple garment but I have a hard time finding turtlenecks that fit properly. I immediately bought a second one in exactly the same size and color, so when the first one wears out I'll have a backup.

turtleneck too heavy
This would be a great turtleneck if only the actual turtleneck part weren't so thick, heavy and tight! The colors are vibrant and it is a medium weight, not too heavy, not too light but the neck when folded down is very thick. There is elastic in it and when folded it is 4 thicknesses, that's right, four, of material. The cuffs are loose and also have elastic in them. In the petite size it is also very short. Don't know if I will be able to wear these because of the neck and I bought three of them!

Too small in shoulders PLUS dramatic shrinkage
THIS shirt fit BEAUTIFULLY out of the bag - even a trifle too big, which I would prefer to too small. After one wash it shrank so much the sleeves are 3" too short. I compared it to an old LL Bean cotton turtleneck (size medium) that still fits fine and discovered the difference is the neck to shoulder seam. The new one is much shorter. Combined with dramatic shrinkage, the new shirt is unwearable. I bought two. Returned this one still in its bag and will give away the one I've already washed.

sleeves too short
I live in the cold damp central valley of California and really like the turtle neck tees, but I NEVER EVER put them in the dryer as the sleeves are too short. I wash them on cold and then hang dry them and stretch out the sleeves while they are still wet on the hanger so the sleeves will be long enough. It would be nice if they would make the sleeves longer! The body of the top is fine in an XS but sleeves too short. I have had to do the same with the size small also so its just not the XS but also the S.
