With little touches like inverted pleats and buttoned patch pockets it's no surprise this coat continues to be a customer favorite, year after year. Inspired by our iconic Field Coat (originally named Maine Duck Hunting Coat), first introduced in 1924.

Best barn coat
I saw the little embroidered ducks and knew I had to have this jacket, the perfect longer length, the flannel lining adds warmth without bulk and the outside canvas is heavy enough to block the wind on a windy fall day! I am usually a small but occasionally size up for room in LLBean particularly for outerwear due to sleeve length issues, however this jacket surprised me and did NOT have that issue, the small fits with plenty of room to have the sleeves cuffed and then some. Plenty of room for a cozy sweater underneath as well.

Embroidery is a nice touch!
I’ve worn these for years and love them. I wish you would carry them in more colors as you did some years ago. But I really like the embroidered flying ducks Nice touch.!

Great Barn Coat!
Super warm and cute! The only thing is that it is a tad big. I'm usually a true large/size14 in LL Bean, but this jacket feels like an XL to me. Not a huge complaint since I sometimes choose to size up for comfort anyway. And it also works out since it'll fit over even my bulkiest sweaters.
