High quality and durability
As usual, LL Bean delivers with this sturdy backpack. We needed to upgrade to a larger pack once my son entered high school, and this pack is perfect. It's made really well and I expect it to last all 4 years. He previous pack (the next size down) is still in great shape after 3 years of middle school. My only gripe with both of these LL Bean school backpacks is the short, wimpy water bottle holders on the sides. Older kids use huge, tall water bottles nowadays and these little side pockets do not hold them at all. They just fall right out, so they have to put the water bottles inside the already stuffed packs and risk spills. No good. Plus the mesh is flimsy and has torn several times over. Please make these side pockets longer and with better material on all of these school packs meant for older kids.

Great item except for drink holder
Product has great pockets. My kid loves all the storage.
Deducting one star as 1) the mesh drink holder side pockets are too short to hold a normal size water bottle, 2) the pockets are mesh and not solid, so would eventually wear out even with a tiny water bottle.
Taller, sturdier drink holder pockets would bring this to 5 stars.

Great book bag
Used by a middle school student that has a lot of things to pack in it. Great quality ! So far has held up to holding a heavy load and being thrown on the floor.
