Horrible Water Bottle Pockets
Backpack is large and fits all school items. I like the felt pocket for the phone. However, the water bottle pockets are horribly designed. Please correct this in new versions of this bag. They're so bad I'm considering returning it. For $85, the water bottle pockets should be on par with our existing name brand backpacks we own in our home. We only upgraded to the LL Bean because our son doesn't have a locker and has to carry all his school supplies daily. We downsized him to a small bottle and it still falls out of the pockets. They're flimsy, wide, not tall enough and not worth the cost of the bag. Since most kids carry a 20 oz. bottle and other name brand bags can handle these, we are extremely unhappy with our purchase of this backpack.

better than expected
I got this backpack for both of my teenagers, and they agree that this pack holds everything they need. It is big enough, but not too big and looks "pretty cool, better than expected". Their only suggested improvement would be to expand the size of the phone pocket to accommodate an earbud case.

Overall nice
I bought this backpack for my 4th grader in expectation it will be with him for several years. Overall the bag is nice and has plenty of space but the water bottle holder is so shallow his bottles constantly fall to the ground.
