I miss the Jackman
I have been a customer since 1969. My first mocs were trapper Mocs. Since then I have never been without a pair of mocs. I bought these mocs about a month ago. I like the new leather insole. They are more comfortable than the old plastic inserts. However, the mocs are wider than the previous model such that a D width fits more like an E width. They fit very loose. I miss my Jackman handsewns, which had a simple old school sole and fit like a glove. LL Bean, sometimes less is more!

Color Immediately Rubs Off
The quality of these shoes is below subpar. This is the second pair we ordered. The first pair, size 12, were too big and were returned. The reorder, size 11.5, was a perfect fit. The returned pair had an even, dark brown color. They were nice looking. The second pair we kept against my better judgment. The color before wearing was faded and uneven. My husband wore them once for an inside event, and the color on the toe of one shoe has already worn off. They were purchased to be dress shoes, and now cannot be worn as such. LLBean touts the quality of their shoes and boots, but these were a huge disappointment. We are long-time LLBean customers so it's doubly disappointing.
