you have to use a straw
For the life of me I can't figure out how to use this cup without a straw. So that is upsetting because I am unable to drink hot beverages.

Overpromised, underperformed
This mug did not keep my coffee hot for very long at all. My old off brand mug did a better job. It looked nice but did not meet my expectations. I returned it.

Stays hot for hours, checks all the boxes
Keeps my tea hot for hours, literally. The 7am one I made before work was still hot at noon. My second cup at lunch was still hot when I left work. Love the pieces on the top that all come apart for complete cleaning. Good size too. Actually prefer this one to the Stanley’s I have.

Terrific insulating mug
This insulated camp mug is sturdy and a perfect size for your hot or cold drinks. It's also good looking with a sleek profile and the standard LL Bean logo. I had to go back and buy a second mug.

Failed expectations
I was excited to purchase a travel coffee mug with handle. The coffee mug kept the coffee warm. I appreciated the vent component on the lid. However, as others have commented, I did not realize the lid is NOT tight. I was carrying several items and the mug was slightly tipped and leaked over my bag and partly on my uniform. Not a good way to start a day. I removed the lid and filled with water to test the seal. I discovered the side away from the mouth hole steadily drips. The mouth hole will steadily flow if you close the hole and tip mug toward the mouth hole. Needless to say, this mug kept my coffee warm but the did not seal the coffee in the mug and therefore failed to meet my expectations as a travel mug.
If you are looking for a coffee mug, then this is fine. If you wish to have a spill proof coffee mug, I suggest you select a different product.

Keeps coffee hot
I bought the pink one and the red one with writing on it for my hubby and I. They definitely keep our coffee way hotter and the coffee stays hot way longer. I always run hot water in mine to warm it up before adding my coffee. The only thing I dont like is everytime i close the sliding lid it snaps coffee on me so i have to wipe it first everytime.
