This jacket is light weight as I expected. Sleeves are slightly long for a petite. Color is nice. Otherwise it will do for an extra jacket.

This newer version is better than my old one
The technology has improved a lot in this jacket is just as light, but it is definitely warmer. I can wear something under it or I can wear this under something like my raincoat.

Perfect to walk outside at night so I can be seen
This jacket works when it's 50 degrees and above; if it's colder than that, I need an additional warm layer (sweater or fleece) below it.
People love to wear dark colors outside (without illumination) during standard time which means vehicles can't see them (potential hood ornament?) when they are walking or standing around. This jacket is easier for vehicles to see me, which increases my safety.
I'm a lefty so I wish there was an additional upper outside pocket on the right side.

Stand up collar stands up and looks good. Coat is light weight and drapes nicely. I bought large because I wear bulky sweaters otherwise would wear medium.

Too Fitted for Larger Busted Petite Woman
I have quite a few of the older LL Bean 850 down jackets. They fit much better than this jacket. It's such a disappointment - the super smaller sizes that everything is modeled after now. I wanted the lighter weight PrimaLoft jacket and it was perfect for the winter weather in SC, but you want to be able to comfortably zip it up. The arm pits were a bit snug, too. I think a PXL might have fit in the chest but then the arms would be too long. The collar bothered me on the Primaloft, too. It's a bit of a struggle to get the collar to lay down. I will keep looking for the perfect jacket. The down vest worked well this year in the PL size. I miss the old quality of LL Bean's Jackets. I'll keep wearing my old ones for now. They are super comfortable in a PL.
