Warm and lightweight
Keeps the warmth in and the wind out. The side zipper pockets and extra front pocket come in handy for holding keys, phone, money, or whatever while walking or hiking.

Not warm
I was hoping the coat was a bit warmer. It is just a thin jacket to withstand a little wind and perhaps rainy mist, otherwise I coudn't wear it on a chilly day.

Light and Warm
I have the earlier version of this jacket with the hood, however I want a white jacket to go along with everything. The new version seems to be even thinner but still provides same level of warmth. The jacket should be good for temperature above 40F for normal outdoor activities. It's windproof. I've worn it in below 30 degree weather when slow jogging outside and I didn't feel cold. It's a very versatile jacket, easy to pack when traveling.

Not for Me
Insulation seems thinner than in years past and styling is odd. I'm always a size medium, but even when layered the jacket was too large everywhere and then flared out around my hips. Snugging up the toggles made it look worse. Returned.

Green is not what it appears in catalogue or onlin
The antique green color looks much brighter in the print catalog and online. More of a muted almost forest green in real life. Disappointing. Wish I had returned when I first saw it and hadn't worn it. Also I asked the LL bean chat which was warmer this new PrimaLoft or the down sweater (which my husband has) and it said they were about the same. Wearing the PrimaLoft a few time I highly doubt that is true. Go with the down sweater if you want warm. And avoid the green color unless you want a dull forest color.
