We've improved our most popular medium rolling duffle, loved since 1996 for its durability, fun colors and great price. Now made of 100% recycled fabrics, with a new U-shaped zipper that opens wider for easier access. Meets most airline carry-on requirements.
Introducing our best-ever Rolling Adventure Duffle, redesigned using customer feedback, product reviews and tests from our own in-house lab. We chose a rugged fabric that's 100% recycled--and just as strong as before. Next, we packed it with improvements, including a wider opening that lets you easily see what's inside. Available in sizes and colors for every member of the family!
- PFC/PFAS-free durable water repellent (DWR).
- Waterproof fabrics. Zippers and seams not waterproof.
- Coated interior for added weather protection; tested for 24 hours in our deep freeze with no signs of cracking, flaking or peeling.
- 100% recycled 600-denier polyester on body, with 100% recycled 1000-denier polyester on base that's twice as abrasion resistant for added durability.
- Fabrics are made from recycled plastic bottles; this 40L bag uses 23 plastic bottles.
- Spot clean.
- Grab handles at either end for easy maneuvering, with low-profile lash points and one rigid handle that helps stabilize bag.
- Roomy main compartment.
- New U-shaped zippered opening offers 50% more access to contents inside.
- Zipper flap adds weather protection.
- Handles have wrap closure for comfortable carrying.

Overnight travel bag
Like that this bag stands up. Purchased a similar bag from LL Bean years ago. That bag did not stand up. However the exterior material on the older bag seemed more heavy duty.

Great weekend bag!
Great quality but would love more pockets! I love LL Bean and the quality of all products that they make. This will make a really nice weekend bag, but anything longer than a weekend probably wouldn’t fit in this size. I got this size because of the new TSA regulations starting in 2026 for carry ons. Unfortunately, it really lacks pockets to help keep things more organized and give that extra room needed. We are keeping this bag, but will really only be able to use it for weekends.

This compact rolling suitcase is a great way to pack for a weekend getaway. It’s super lightweight but solidly built I bought it in red so I could easily recognize it at the airport.

Really liked that the bag was spacious. Easily fit our three toiletry bags plus a few other essential items and a couple of outfits. Fit very easily into the overhead compartment. Great lightweight bag. Looking forward to using it again.
