We've improved our most popular duffle, loved since 1996 for its travel-tough durability, fun colors and great price. Now made of 100% recycled fabrics, with a new U-shaped zipper that opens wider for easier access. New 70L size is one of our most versatile, and added by customer request.
Introducing our best-ever Adventure Duffle, redesigned using customer feedback, product reviews and tests from our own in-house lab. We chose a rugged fabric that's 100% recycled--and just as strong as before. Next, we packed it with improvements, including a wider opening, more comfortable shoulder strap and a new storage pouch you can use as a packing cube while traveling. Available in sizes and colors for every member of the family!
- Coated interior for added weather protection; tested for 24 hours in our deep freeze with no signs of cracking, flaking or peeling.
- Waterproof fabrics. Zippers and seams not waterproof.
- Fabrics are made from recycled plastic bottles; this 70L bag uses 27 plastic bottles.
- PFC/PFAS-free durable water repellent (DWR).
- 100% recycled 600-denier polyester on body, with 100% recycled 1000-denier polyester on base that's twice as abrasion resistant for added durability.
- Spot clean.
- Zipper flap adds weather protection.
- Roomy main compartment.
- Grab handles at either end for easy maneuvering, with low-profile lash points.
- New U-shaped zippered opening offers 50% more access to contents inside.
- Features small L.L.Bean logo on either side of bag and shoulder strap.

Affordable, sturdy, nice color
I ordered this for my daughter who was going on a teen-travel trip where a duffle of this size was required. All the other non-big-box-store duffles were much more pricey. This one made it well through being checked and handled by the airlines on 3 flights, and it still looks good. We’ll get some more use out of this.

My Teenage Scout Loved This Gift!
My grandson was thrilled to get this duffle bag just in time for his recent Boy Scout Camp. It was perfect! The size was perfect for his camping gear, the fabric was strong, waterproof and he loved the blue color. He was happy with the initials that I had included on my LLBean order, too! He didn't want anyone to accidentally take his new duffle! Thank you!

Useful duffle for a reasonable price
A solid, spacious bag for a fair price. There are better ones available for double or triple the cost, and flimsy ones for less, but this strikes a good balance.
We’ve had an extra large adventure duffle for more than a decade, and it’s served well. We got this size for packing linens on a vacation or other smaller loads. There is a gap in the lineup: I wish Bean would make a 50 or 55 liter size!
The redesigned u-shaped opening makes the contents easier to access, and more visible to load and unload, at the cost of being harder to open with one hand, and easier for the two handles to fall into the bag when packing. So not necessarily better or worse, it’s just different and depends a bit on your application.
I wish the lining was a brighter color, the depths can be Stygian. Similarly, I’d like more contrast between the end handles and the bag, so third easier to spot (maybe more reflective tape there?)
Like any duffle, it gets structure from the contents, and as expected, it’s a great bag for tossing and stacking and short carries, but too wide to comfortably carry long distances with the single shoulder strap. So, if a duffle meets your needs, this is a pretty good one.

Adventure duffle has changed.
I was so confused when I opened the package. I bought my daughter the Medium Adventure Duffle a couple years ago and wanted to get the same one for my son. Not only is the look different, but it’s much smaller. I guess it’s on me for not directly comparing measurements, but I thought the adventure duffle in size Medium would be the same. Silly me.
