LL Bean quality just didn’t work for me.
I bought this with high hopes it would be the ultimate slipper experience and ended up not liking them. I returned them. I rarely return anything. Sometimes order the wrong size and need to exchange. This is not a gripe on quality because these are quality items. They didn’t feel right to me with socks or barefoot. Maybe these just weren’t made for myHobbit feet.

They Stretch As You Wear Them
This is my third pair; I can't live without them. I wear them to bed. That said, you do need to know they run just slightly small, BUT they stretch as you wear them. This pair was uncomfortable the first month as my toes were pressing against the seams, but after a month of daily wear they're just right. I once ordered a half size up and was sorry I did; my feet were eventually swimming in them. They also run narrow, but I have a narrow foot so I'm comfortable in them. The opening, as others have said, is tight at first, but this will loosen up slightly too. It does mean that the warmth is there all the way up to the ankles.

Best slippers EVER!
This is my second pair of the Wicked Good Slippers. I still have my first pair but I basically wore the fur out of them after many years of wear so I finally purchased new slippers and am NOT disappointed!
