An L.L.Bean exclusive, our plush flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

I was excited to see a tall option and it's exceptionally soft and warm. Unfortunately even with following the care instructions it shrunk several inches in the first wash. The sleeves are no longer long enough and the over all length is shorter.

My 76yo husband has never worn a robe. He would get out of bed and shower or dress in comfy clothes before eating breakfast. He mentioned that he might be interested in a robe so I purchased one as a Christmas gift. He loves it. He's very pleased that it provides perfect warmth and is lightweight.

Flannel robe
The LLBEAN quality I have enjoyed over the years has gone. The flannel robe is a replacement for one so enjoyed for many years. The material of this new one is thin. It certainly doesn't meet the standard of being called a winter robe.
