Excellent boots with one exception
I love these boot with one exception. They are extremely well made, very rugged, waterproof and hold up well to almost any terrain.
The issue is this. Being in the Maritimes of Canada, we get a lot of snow, just like Maine. In the Spring, the snow melts and your back yard is like a small swamp. Water everywhere. Herein lies the issue. I wear boots in the yard, and walking comes almost impossible. The water beneath the boots sticks to the yard, the water creating a vacuum between the water and the boot. Lifting your feet, causes the vacuum to pull the boots right off your feet. No fun losing your boot in a VERY wet yard is no fun. Looking at the sole, there is no way for the water to be channeled away. The vacuum between the sole of the boot and the water makes it extremely difficult to walk. The same issue with any kind of watery mud. The boots are great in almost any weather .. EXCEPT mud and a wet lawn.

Little too narrow
I’ve bought many Bean boots, they always say to order one size smaller. In these shoes I ordered 12 medium, normally wear 13 wide. Length was fine, little too narrow.

Recently received these cool, blue rubber Mocs. They are great for mucking around the garden, walking out to the mailbox on snowy, rainy days, hauling in some firewood. They are not good for cutting wood with a chainsaw and going hiking. Then I switch to my Bean lace up boots for more support.Thanks to Eric R. for constructing these Mocs.

MY DOG LOVED THEM TOO!
I loved the shoes for rainy days and walking dogs! Unfortunately, my dog loved them more and ate the entire leather tongue! So I have a new pair coming soon! I ordered 1 size smaller than my normal size and it was just perfect.
